The eclecticism in interior design is still today the prevailing trend. We all will succumb sooner or later to its stylistic charms. As we have been talking about in previous posts, the eclecticism can be applied in many ways, but… What's the simplest way to do it? Easy peasy! It isn't even necessary to juxtapose pieces with different styles; we just need some key pieces containing a harmonious inner stylistic dialog. Those will be the focal points from which the other pieces will depend. The name of this inner dialogue is bichromy and it was popularized by Coco Chanel. Since then, many copywriters discovered its high aesthetic potential, making the iconic two-coloured shoes Gabrielle designed in 1957 the most imitated shoes in all History.
